About Us: Established in 1999, Loveland Academy is a privately owned Transdisciplinary Center in Kaneohe, Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. Loveland Academy is dedicated to excellence in teaching and to the development and implementation of clinical and therapeutic methodologies for the diagnosis and treatment of children and adults with developmental and/or mental health needs, including those on the autism spectrum.
Our Philosophy: Loveland Academy’s philosophy is to help clients discover, then utilize, their strengths and interests to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to live as productive, and enjoyable, a life as possible.
Our Goal: Loveland Academy’s goal is to integrate the best aspects of education with the best practices of therapeutic treatment into a cohesive package for clients with unique learning challenges who need extra help in the areas of modified learning, positive behavior management, and/or direct therapy to increase cognitive, social, emotional, leisure time, and communication skills
Our Program: Loveland Academy’s program seeks to support increased global functioning through the development of attention skills, social skills, self-monitoring, self-regulation, coping strategies, interpersonal communication skills, leisure time skills, and both pre-vocational and vocational skills.
